My husband and I have always loved healthy Middle Eastern Food, such as Hummus, Falafel, Salad and many other mouthwatering dishes that were available in nearby New Jersey restaurants.
When we moved to South West Florida in 2015, we went on a quest to find a place that serves authentic Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately, we could not find any place that met the standards of quality and taste that we were used to.
Full of disappointments, we decided to dust off some old country recipes and work on perfecting dishes that we love and enjoy. Now, One year later, we are able to master a Middle Eastern Falafel platter that has satisfied our craving! We hope it will do the same for you.
For hundreds of years, people in the Middle East enjoyed this healthy and tasty dish that is made up of spiced mashed chickpeas and other healthy ingredients formed into balls and deep-fried in healthy canola oil. Packed with protein, this can be eaten as an appetizer or simply on it’s own.
This unique, colorful and tasty salad is simply made up of an assortment of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and spices. The crisp and fresh taste it creates makes it stand out amongst other salads.
Hummus is the final element that makes a Falafel Sandwich complete and delicious. Hummus is a hugely popular food dip made primarily from mashed chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), and a few other healthy ingredients such as olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. This delectable dip creates a great flavor combination within the sandwich while also adding the moistness needed to make the sandwich perfect.
